About the Easter eBook

The book gathers the Danish author’s preparations, celebrations and traditions for Easter. She shares some of her heirloom Easter recipes, how to make handmade decorations, favourite natural wreaths, and some of the traditions she was brought up with in Denmark and some new ones she have created living here in Australia.

Things to create, cook and celebrate for Easter

Easter Paper Eggs Folded in Paper

Here is a simple and very effective way of creating hygge.

These are very simple, but decorative paper egg shapes. Each egg requires a set of 5 cut paper circles. You fold them vertically then glue one half circle onto the second folded piece. To the second and third paper pieces you add a little loop for the egg to hang by. Repeat until all five cuts are glued together…and voila, you have a very pretty little egg. I found my William Morris wrapping paper in a bookstore. Get the egg template and more details in the eBook! Above.

All you need is:

  • paper in a pattern or colour you prefer
  • scissors
  • glue stick
  • string for hanging

About the Author

The author of the Easter e-Book and creator of DK Design Kitchens new visual identity is the Danish Graphic Designer Kristine Lindbjerg. She has lived in Sydney, Australia, for the past 13 years with her husband and two sons.

She divides her time between working and living in the city and spending most weekends and holidays in the countryside at Turon Gates. She thrives in nature as it is where she refuels and gets inspired, but at the same time, she adores the buzz of the city and the amazing window decorations created by international brands in the city stores. She likes her life of contrasts: being in the garden in gumboots and dressing up with feathers for a party.

Being Danish, EASTER comes with a lot of beautiful traditions. It’s very important for her to pass these traditions on from her grandparents and parents to the next generation.
